Tubular tires offer excellent ride quality, can be ridden with a much broader range of air pressure (offering more options for traction in changing conditions), and are not subject to pinch flats. Previously, this experience was reserved for those who meticulously stretched and glued tires to their tubular specific rims. The Tufo C series created a tire with the benefits of a tubular that can be mounted on a clincher rim without special tools or messy glue. Separate tubes are not necessary when using tubular clinchers, as the tube is already sewn into the tire.
Valve stems on Tufo tires are approximately 32mm, many wheels require longer valves. Tufo Valve extenders are available for those with deep section rims.
