Slick/Semi-Slick MTB tires are commonly used by MTB owners who ride mostly on streets or groomed trails. Slick MTB tires are very similar to 26" Commuter tires. Semi-Slick tires are slick down the middle but have nobs on the shoulders for improved cornering in soft conditions.

Slick/Semi-Slick MTB tires typically weigh 400-700g and use wire beads to engage with the rim. There are a few folding slick MTB tires, designed for short track MTB racing. Semi-slick tires are not typically used in competition.

Presta or schrader valve tubes are available for slick/semi-slick MTB tires.

The Country Rock is the perfect tire for riding the streets on your mountain bike, with plenty of traction for off-road riding too. The low profile tread doesn't slow you down on the pavement but bites down on hard-packed dirt trails. Additional side knobs let you corner in confidence and the puncture resistant rubber helps keep out broken glass and thorns. 26 x 1.75". 73 Max. PSI. Wire bead. 33 TPI. 560 grams. Black.

I couldn't be more happy with a bike tire!
By Mikey  from Mesa, Arizona  - Cycling Enthusiast

All likes, fast, quite even at 35 mph, smooth trouble free tire. I've had great results with Michelin tires on my trucks and cars, and now my bikes, thanks.

The BEST for Street!!
By Anonymous  from Santa Monica Mountains  - Cycling Enthusiast

I put these on my 15 year old Specialized Street Stomper, filled them to the max 73 pounds and WOW!! Super fast and super easy to pedal at speed, and excellent handling, even on wet pavement and still maintain a nice ride. And they actually work pretty good in mild off road conditions such as a dry hard dirt fire road. They flat out blow away ANY other street tire in that size range. They look really cool on the bike too. Can't say enough about 'em!!
