The Small Block Eight is one of the newest tires in the Kenda Pro Series line. It features the same knob profile as the Nevegal, but scaled down. The knobs are spread across the tire for better bite. Designed to be ridden in hard pack conditions, the low profile tread pattern creates a tire that has very little rolling resistance, and yet still maintains good traction. A favorite among XC racers.

Small Block Eight is Super Great!
By GR Biker  from Grand Rapids, Michigan  - Cycling Enthusiast

I was looking for new UST tires for my Mt. bike that would match my riding preference, which is mainly gravel roads and two-tracks, and paved roads or the occasional rail trail to get to my destination. I also went from my old 1.95 tires to 2.1 size on the Small Block Eights. I was pleasantly surprised on how well they rolled on pavement, and they were relatively quiet. But where these tires really excelled was in the gravel and dirt. They handle sand well too. These tires roll and climb well, and have excellent traction. I got used to the wider size right away, and they seemed to add stability to the bike. I think these tires will even work in the Michigan winter on the snow and ice packed dirt roads.

This is a nice tire.
By Mikey  from Mesa, Arizona  - Cycling Enthusiast

I like the low rolling resistance, good grip, easy to mountdismount.

I don't like poor punture resistance to goat head thorns, small chips of broken glass, noise over 15mph on the street you can sure hear them coming.

important with the many flats.
